Weddings Go Green
In 2007, Conde Nast, the publisher of Brides
magazine, conducted a survey to test the pulse
of newlyweds-to-be on the issue of eco or
green weddings. Sixty percent of respondents
said the environment was important in planning
their wedding, and 33 percent said they were
planning to have a green wedding. In a multi-billion
dollar industry, it's a noteworthy trend that
will impact anyone who provides products and
services for weddings. Brides, grooms, mothers
of the brides and wedding planners are all
clamoring for information and products that
will help them enjoy the big day — while
causing little harm to the environment.
